Videoland is the biggest and most relevant on-demand streaming content service in the Netherlands. After a hectic period of growth –from being a video library to the biggest player on the block– their initial strategy and look & feel weren’t up to parr with Videoland newfound reality.
Create an identity that (re)presents the brand 'Videoland', it's content in a playful, tangible and meaningful way.
Videoland is one of the original innovators of streaming content in the Netherlands, and they’ve grown exponentially over the last five years. With an expanding slate of acquisitions, original content and a steadily growing user base, Videoland saw an opportunity to implement a cohesive visual system that could grow along with the brand.
A unique design language and a dynamic grid of isosceles triangles and diagonals.
We introduced a versatile system that allows Videoland to tailor the identity to the character of the content they offer. We created a visual construct, based on the iconic letter V of the Videoland logo. This construct proved flexible enough to vary abundantly, but at the same time holds enough constraints to remain recognisable when communicating the Videoland message. The result is a unique design language and a dynamic grid of isosceles triangles and diagonals.
